Synopsis: Soundouss and Jaâfar arrive at a luxury resort villa
seaside resort of Cabo Negro, rented by Jaâfar's lover, who is supposed to join them later. But something's wrong: he's still not there, and they can't reach him by phone. Left to their own devices, they decide, despite their financial and personal situation, to leave.
to enjoy their vacation as much as their minds and bodies allow. While time seems to stand still, they

Abdellah Taïa

Born in Rabat in 1973, Abdellah Taïa has published several novels with Editions du Seuil, translated in Europe and the USA: "L'Armée du Salut" (2006), "Une mélancolie arabe" (2008), "Le Jour du Roi" (Prix de Flore 2010), "Un pays pour mourir" (Prix PEN America Literary Awards 2021), "Celui qui est digne d'être aimé" (2017), "La vie lente" (2019) and "Vivre à ta lumière" (2022). In 2014, he directed his first film, "L'Armée du Salut", based on his novel of the same name. It won the Grand Prix at the Angers Film Festival and several other international awards.
