Synopsis: In a gray city with no past, Joy is a foundling,
collected by Father André. Janitor by day, organist at Mass, driven by an ardent faith, Joy almost never leaves the church. One day, she spots a young stranger coming out of the confessional with a delivery bag on his back. She's convinced she must find him. Joy sets out on a quest. In search of a new life. For her body. In search of herself.
Camille Lugan
A former philosophy student, Camille Lugan has a degree in screenwriting from La Fémis. She has co-written several feature films (Ibrahim by Samir Guesmi, Amore Mio by Guillaume Gouix...) as well as television programs (Maroni, season 2, for ARTE) and directed three shorts including La Persistente, presented at Critics' Week in Cannes in 2018. She has just directed her first feature film, According to Joyproduced by Barney Production, with Sonia Bonny, Volodymyr Zhdanov, Asia Argento and Raphaël Thiéry.
