Lucila Mariani

Lucila Mariani was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She studied cinema at the UFC (Universidad del Cine). She is a director, editor, producer and programmer. She has directed several short films. Wekwaindu (2018), previewed at the BFI Future Film Festival, and Resonancias (2019), which was presented at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), and finally Luna que se quiebra sobre la tiniebla de mi soledad (2022), selected at the Locarno Film Festival as part of the Pardi di Domani international competition. She is currently developing her first feature film, Los días libres, which was selected to take part in La Fabrique Cinéma (Cannes Film Festival, 2023). The film is supported by INCAA and Ibermedia. Lucila took part in the Locarno Filmmakers Academy (2023) and the Berlinale Talents (2024).
