Abdellah Taïa

Born in Rabat in 1973, Abdellah Taïa has published several novels with Éditions du Seuil, translated in Europe and the United States: King's Day (Prix de Flore 2010), A country to die in (PEN America Literary Awards 2021) or Live in your light (2022). He directed his 1st film in 2014, The Salvation Army, based on his novel of the same name, was selected for the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, and won the Grand Prix at the Festival Premiers Plans d'Angers and the Sundance Institute Global Filmmaking Award.
