Djo, 33 year-old, is a bus driver in Cergy Pontoise. Branded by years of prison,  he lives modestly at his mother’s house with his daughter. One day, Félicité, one of his aunts, rings at his house with her four children. She has fled the conflict in Ivory Coast and has nowhere to stay. In a hurry, Djo manages to house them in an abandoned premise. But facing the growing demand from his fellows, he falls over into slumlording.
