Barney Production

Barney Production is an independent company created in 2010 by Said Hamich. In 2012, the company received the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation Grant For Film Producers.

With the ambition of developing an auteur cinema, Barney Production has produced around thirty short films.
Barney Production also coproduced the feature film Much Loved by Nabil Ayouch and produced Northern Wind first feature film by Walid Mattar, Return to Bollène by fisrt feature film by Saïd Hamich, Volubilis fourth feature by Faouzi Bensaïdi, all three released in 2018, as well as Steve Achiepo’s first feature film The Slumlord released in 2023.

The company is currently developing new feature film and series projects: Princesses by Quentin Dorevan, Un monde sans fleurs by Walid Mattar and Fadette Drouard, Holy Mary by Camille Lugan and Audrey Fouché, Ferville by Amina Damerdji and Jean-Philippe Amar, Let the earth burn by Sofia Alaoui.

Hounds, on Kamal Lazraq’s first feature film won the Jury’s prize Un Certain Regard in last Cannes Film Festival and Faouzi Bensaïdi’s fifth feature film Deserts was presented in the Directors’ Fortnight section.

We are in post-production on Camille Lugan’s first feature film The Book Of Joy, Abdellah Taïa’s second feature film Cabo Negro.

We collaborate with our partner Mont Fleuri Production in Casablanca.
