Barney Production is an independent company created in 2010 by Said Hamich. In 2012, the company received the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation Grant For Film Producers.
With the ambition of developing an auteur cinema, Barney Production has coproduced his first short film “Tendid“, by Walid Mattar, with Tunisia. Next, Barney Production has produced several short films such as “Zakaria“ by Leila Bouzid, “Zanta Clauz“ by Walid Mattar, “Wolf, Are You There?“ by Xavier Sirven, “Don’t Speak About Love“ by Hadrien Bichet, ”Where It Sprang From“ by Steve Achiepo, and “Moul Lkelb“ by Kamal Lazraq, “Burning Heart” by Vincent Tricon.
Barney Production also coproduced the feature films “Hope“ by Boris Lojkine and “Much Loved“ by Nabil Ayouch.
The company has recently produced two feature films, “Volubilis” by Faouzi Bensaïdi, and “Northern Wind” by Walid Mattar, and produced several short movies, “Le jour de ton Jour“ by Steve Achiepo, “Glister” by Vincent Tricon and “Le Deuxième Fils“ by Hadrien Bichet.
As for full-length films, Barney Production is developing “Le marchand de sable” by Steve Achiepo, “Un 14 Juillet“ by Julia Cordonnier and Aurélie Cardin and “Zanka Contact“ by Ismael El Iraki.
